A Tourist Visa allows individuals to visit a foreign country for leisure, sightseeing, or short-term visits. Each country has specific visa policies, but the common requirements include financial proof, return tickets, and accommodation details.

General Tourist Visa Requirements:

✔️ Valid passport (with blank pages for stamps).

✔️ Proof of financial stability (bank statements, salary slips).

✔️Return flight ticket.

✔️ Hotel booking or invitation letter (if staying with family/friends).

✔️ Travel insurance (where required).

✔️ Visa application form & photos (as per country specifications).

General Eligibility:

1. Valid Passport

  • The passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay.
  • It must have blank pages for visa stamps.
  • 2. Purpose of Travel

  • The visit should be purely for tourism, leisure, or short visits (not for work or study).
  • Some countries allow visiting family or friends under a tourist visa.
  • 3. Proof of Financial Stability

  • Applicants must show sufficient funds to cover travel expenses, such as
  • Bank statements (last 3-6 months).
  • Salary slips or Income Tax Returns (ITR).
  • Sponsorship letter (if someone else is covering costs).
  • 4. Strong Ties to Home Country

  • Applicants must prove they will return home after the trip by showing:
  • Job letter or proof of business ownership.
  • Property ownership or lease agreements.
  • Family ties (spouse, children, parents).
  • 5. Travel Itinerary & Accommodation

  • Confirmed round-trip flight tickets (not always mandatory but recommended).
  • Hotel reservations OR an invitation letter from family/friends.
  • 6. Travel Insurance (Mandatory for Some Countries)

  • Schengen Visa: €30,000 coverage is required.
  • Canada & USA: Recommended but not mandatory.
  • Covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, etc.
  • 7. Clean Immigration & Criminal Record

  • Some countries require a police clearance certificate (PCC).
  • No previous visa violations or overstays.
