Visitor Visa

Visitor Visa

A visitor visa is a type of travel document issued by a country's government that allows individuals to enter the country temporarily for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, attending events or conferences, or receiving medical treatment. These visas are typically granted for a specific period, ranging from a few days to several months, and may have restrictions on activities allowed during the visit, such as employment.

Eligibility Criteria for a Visitor Visa:

1. Valid Passport: You'll typically need a passport that's valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.

2. Purpose of Visit: You must have a valid reason for your visit, such as tourism, visiting family or friends, attending a special event, or receiving medical treatment.

3. No Criminal Record: Have no criminal record and not be a risk to Canada’s security.

4. Sufficient Funds: You'll need to demonstrate that you have enough money to cover your expenses during your stay, including accommodation, transportation, and daily expenses.

Purpose of Visit: Provide a clear and legitimate reason for your visit, such as tourism, visiting family or friends, or attending business meetings.

Types of Visitor Visas

Single-Entry Visa: Allows you to enter Canada once. After you leave, you need a new visa to re-enter.

Multiple-Entry Visa: Allows you to enter and exit Canada multiple times within the visa’s validity period, up to 10 years or one month before the passport’s expiry date, whichever comes first.
